sharanthing Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 Hi everyboby and merry Christmas! Have replaced the front pads but the dash 'low brake pad' light is still on. Does anybody know if it should go off after pad replacement or is it a visit to the VAGCOM man? Any ideas? Many thanks. ps does anybody have a VAGCOM thingy near Knutsford, Cheshire? Quote
NikpV Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 back brakes ? done the connector up ?? usually doesnt need resetting Quote
Charlie Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 The Pad warning light should go out after the pads are replaced, no reset needed with vag-com I would re-check the connection at the pad, sometimes you can get a bad connection when swapping the cables Quote
Rallim Posted December 20, 2007 Report Posted December 20, 2007 There's also a sensor on the back pads - are they OK? Mine constantly has this warning as the wire sensor wire broken inside, I repaired it but the new bit of wire has also failed - I think the wires are rubbed by the wheel. Gordon. Quote
